Last month a group of top-level US researchers visited Aalborg University to discuss state of the art telehealth and cardiology and the challenges to overcome in the coming years. These researchers are all members of the newly established Transatlantic Telehealth Research Network (TTRN), a collaboration supported by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation between Cleveland Clinic, UC Berkerley, UC Davis and Aalborg University.
The purpose of TTRN is to prepare and launch an interdisciplinary, transatlantic research network on telehealth and cardiology and develop synergies between telehealth programs for heart patients between major institutions in the United States and Denmark and also develop and test new telehealth technologies for heart patients. The TTRN also initiates a joint research programme on telehealth and cardiology along with a program for exchange and knowledge-sharing for clinicians, Master’s students, Ph.D. students and researchers within the field of telehealth/cardiology treatment.
Next workshop is in October at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio and the 3rd workshop is in California in December.
