Silicon Valley Crash Course to Danish Minister

We just had the honor of having The Danish Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Charlotte Sahl-Madsen visit together with the chancellors of the Danish universities. Their objective was to get a crash course in Silicon Valley entrepreneurship and innovation at it's best. The overall goal was to get inspired in the ongoing reform process at the Danish universities. The visit included meetings with thought leaders from university as well as industry and included meetings with serial entrepreneur and adjunct professor at Stanford Steve Blank; venture capital founder Vinod Khosla; and Jerry Engel, who runs UC Berkeley´s Lester Center for Entrepreneurship. On top of lots of meetings at Stanford and UC Berkeley, the delegation also visited Silicon Valley companies like Cisco, IDEO, and YouNoodle. Next steps are individual action plans on how the respective Danish universities can integrate best practices from Silicon Valley.
