The scholarships are part of a partnership between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation in Denmark and the centers H-STAR at Stanford University and CITRIS at UC Berkeley in California, USA. H-STAR, Human Sciences and Technologies Advanced Research Institute, is a interdisciplinary research center with a focus on among other things IT, design and user-driven innovation, while CITRIS, Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society includes furthermore a series of Silicon Valley’s biggest IT companies for example Hewlett Packard, IBM and Intel.
