Fireside chat with Heini Zachariassen about Vivino’s journey from Copenhagen to Silicon Valley

On a November 2013 Saturday alone 200,000 wines were scanned using the Vivino app. With 2.7 million users and 10,000 signing up daily it is the world’s largest wine app. CEO and Founder Heini Zachariassen will join us to share what he learned from the humble beginnings in Denmark to his reality today in Silicon Valley running a company which has now raised north of $11 million.

Denmark has one of the best, if not the best, energy infrastructure where intermittent renewable energy sources provide no less than 34% of the country’s electricity needs. Even still, the energy infrastructure is changing rapidly, and upgrades are neccessary to make sure that the system can withstand the increasing number of electric vehicles (EVs), for instance.

The video tells the story about the energy system of the future – one where generation, transportation, and consumption are linked together intelligently.
